The Postdoctoral Affairs team at the New York University Grossman School of Medicine, a private research university in New York City (NYC), supports the career development and research training of over 500 postdoctoral scholars at the institution.
At our institution, we offer services to postdoctoral scholars and PhD graduate students to help them identify career goals and understand how their training is relevant to the job market. We believe that searching for opportunities and networking early in their training is the best route to finding a challenging, rewarding career.

In addition to serving our institution, we have hosted “What Can You Be With a PhD?” (WCUB-PhD), the largest biomedical PhD career symposium, biannually since 1995 with the support of a consortium of NYC-metro universities and medical institutions. Our recent symposium was held in person in the fall of 2025, where we hosted over 100 panelists and workshop facilitators. It was attended by over 650 PhD students and postdocs from the NYC-metro community.
